Summary: Bisheret is a free discovery and planning platform for Jewish weddings. We connect couples with vendors but are not a party to any agreements between them. Use the platform legally and respectfully.
By creating an account, using any feature of Bisheret.com, or accessing any content on the platform, you confirm that:
You are at least 18 years of age
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
You have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
If you are using Bisheret on behalf of a business (e.g. as a vendor), you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
2. Our Services
Bisheret.com provides:
A directory of Jewish wedding vendors (caterers, photographers, venues, officiants, florists, and more)
Planning tools including a wedding checklist, budget calculator, guest list manager, seating chart, and inspiration board
A free personalised wedding website builder
A messaging platform enabling couples to contact vendors
A Jewish date checker and other educational resources
A vendor awards and recognition programme
Virtual venue tours (paid feature)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time, with or without notice.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain the security of your password and account
Notify us immediately at info@bisheret.com if you suspect unauthorised access
Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.
4. Terms for Couples
As a couple using Bisheret, you understand that:
Bisheret is a marketplace, not an agent. We facilitate connections between couples and vendors but are not a party to any contract, agreement, or arrangement you make with a vendor.
Vendor relationships are independent. All bookings, payments, deposits, and contractual obligations are directly between you and the vendor. Bisheret has no liability for a vendor's performance, cancellation, or breach of contract.
Reviews must be honest. Reviews you submit must reflect your genuine experience. Fake, defamatory, or malicious reviews are prohibited and may be removed.
Wedding website content is your responsibility. You must have rights to any photos, text, or other content you upload to your Bisheret wedding website.
Guest data. Any personal data you upload about your guests (names, email addresses, dietary preferences) must be handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws. You are the data controller for your guests' information.
5. Terms for Vendors
By listing your business on Bisheret, you agree that:
Listings must be accurate. All information in your profile — including pricing, kosher certifications, service descriptions, and photos — must be truthful and up to date.
Kosher certification claims. If you claim kosher certification, you must hold a valid, current certificate from a recognised kashrut authority. Misrepresentation of kashrut status may result in immediate removal and legal action.
Responding to enquiries. You agree to respond to couple enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
No off-platform solicitation. You may not use Bisheret contact details obtained through our platform to solicit couples for services outside of Bisheret in a manner that circumvents our platform.
Listing fees. Paid listing tiers are subject to the pricing agreed at the time of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Verification badge. The Bisheret Verified badge is awarded at our sole discretion and may be revoked if your credentials change or if you violate these Terms.
Boost and featured listings. Paid promotional features do not guarantee a specific number of enquiries or bookings.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to Bisheret ("User Content"), including photos, reviews, messages, and wedding website content. By submitting User Content, you grant Bisheret a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting our services.
You represent and warrant that:
You own or have the necessary rights to submit the content
The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
The content does not contain false, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material
We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, at our sole discretion.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Bisheret to:
Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Impersonate any person or entity
Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or vendors
Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform without written permission
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
Transmit spam, malware, or any harmful code
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
Circumvent any technical measures we use to protect the platform
Create multiple accounts to manipulate reviews or ratings
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Bisheret.com that is not User Content — including our logo, design, text, graphics, software, and the Bisheret brand — is owned by or licensed to Bisheret and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.
The "Bisheret Awards" name and associated branding are proprietary to Bisheret.com.
9. Payments & Refunds
Certain features on Bisheret — including virtual venue tours, featured vendor listings, and boost upgrades — require payment.
Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
Prices are displayed in USD and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Refunds. Payments for digital services (virtual tours, listing upgrades) are generally non-refundable once the service has been delivered or the listing period has begun. Refund requests should be directed to info@bisheret.com within 7 days of purchase.
Disputes. For billing disputes, contact us before initiating a chargeback. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and quickly.
Important: Bisheret does not process payments between couples and vendors. Any money paid directly to a vendor is entirely outside our platform and our responsibility.
10. Disclaimers
Bisheret is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Any vendor listed is suitable for your specific requirements
Vendor information (including kosher certification status) is always current
The Jewish Date Checker or any calendar tool is free from error — always confirm dates with a qualified rabbi
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bisheret disclaims all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bisheret and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses
Any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) our services
Any conduct or content of third parties, including vendors, on or through the platform
Any transactions or disputes between couples and vendors
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Bisheret in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bisheret, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
Your use of the platform
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting info@bisheret.com.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Bisheret at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons may include (but are not limited to) violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will remain in effect.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Florida.
If you are accessing Bisheret from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify registered users by email.
Your continued use of Bisheret after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the platform and close your account.
